I did wait the 4 hours but the mixture did not have the right consistency right from the begining. After the 4 hours it did not rise well and the yeast smell was super strong. I fried one to test….not the one’s I had as a child. Mais c’est les les gros beignet avec le trou qui se mange avec un bon verre de the…..J’ attend avec impatience ton future video. xoxo

yeah, sfenj can be tricky although the ingredients are not that difficult (but you have to let the dough rise for at least 4 hours – so that can be long)… Let me try it with the american ingredients and try to make a video of it. I know how to make an italian version of sfenj (doughnut balls) that have a very similar taste but are much easier to make.
