The Four Imperial Cities Marrakech, Fes, Meknes ,Rabat are the “must see”. Allow yourself a week at least, With a car most of the monuments are within reach. A local guide would be helpful ask the price before you take his services. unless you want to venture into the (medina) the old city. Most of the great momuments are within the old cities walls (Fotifications).
Morocco is not only about The imperial cities but far more it’s population and landscape. The clasic trip would be for 2 weeks starting from the international airport Almassira in Agadir from there you will have the option to discover Morocco. First start by visiting Tafraoute nested in the Anti Atlas then go to Ouarzazate , Thinghir, Erfoud there you will see the Kasbat Road then Head to fes crossing over the midle Atlas Montain, you will cross Ifrane Fes, Mekness, Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Essaouira then back to agadir to enjoy the Moroccan sun and sea. Then back home. Allow a night or two in each imperial cities Because of the great number or “must see” Attractions. If you are planning a trip to Morocco some time and if you are interested in seeing the Sahara Desert. What cities are close enough to the desert that you could go for the day, as well as easily accessible from the airport (whichever one it may be)? Well Erfoud and Zagora is the closest small city to the desert.But Marrakech would be your closest airport from an international destination. You really need to acclimatise to the desert, to feel the timelessness of it and to let its vastness wash over you..for this you need time almost 1 week. In a city like Erfoud you find land rovers that you can hire for a day or two to visite the great sand dunes of Merzouga.
